Mexico's light vehicle market posted its strongest September ever, but the real shake up happened between brands, not in the total number.
September closed with 129,288 light vehicles sold in Mexico, roughly 8% more than the 119,766 units sold in September 2025 and the highest September figure on record, even surpassing pre pandemic levels.
Compared with August, the total market barely moved, down just 191 units (-0.15%). Yet behind that near flat number, brands moved sharply. Nissan added 1,751 units to retake the lead with 24,139 vehicles and 18.67% share, while Chrysler, Fiat, MG Motor, Changan, Renault and Honda also grew. Mazda, General Motors, Hyundai, Volkswagen and KIA all lost volume in the same period.
The year to date confirms the trend: 1,144,002 vehicles sold between January and September, 54,851 more than in 2025, close to 5% growth, led by gains from Geely, Chrysler, MG Motor, General Motors, Renault, Toyota, Mazda and Jetour-Soueast. For brands, dealer groups and floors, the question for October is how fast they respond to leads, follow ups and appointments, exactly where an AI driven commercial operation with Biky Montes inside BIKY.ai can turn speed into an advantage.
