A single number cannot tell you who sells the most and who is truly improving, unless it is built the right way.
Comparing dealerships by raw sales alone tends to favor the biggest players and hide real progress elsewhere. BIKY Pulse's Performance Score was built to answer a more useful question: is a dealership improving against its own history, and how does that compare with the rest of its network?
The model works only with operational data: leads, scheduled appointments, scheduling rate, and sales, always measured against an equivalent prior period. Growth for each metric is capped through winsorization to avoid distortion from small baselines, then combined into a weighted score that reflects each metric's strategic weight. A relative volume factor is added at a deliberately low weight so sales size never masks a real decline.
A real calibration case made this balance clear: a top-selling dealer group with a 34.8% drop in performance still showed green under a 40% volume weighting. Lowering that weight to 20% revealed the true yellow-level decline. The result is a transparent, network-wide indicator built for fair comparison, not just bigger numbers.
- Measures growth versus a dealership's own past, not just raw sales
- Uses four metrics: leads, appointments, scheduling rate, sales
- Applies winsorization and weighted averages for fairness
- Blends own growth (80%) with relative volume (20%)
- Case study shows how volume weight can hide or reveal real decline
